Welding 101 has training courses set up to service many different skill levels. From the beginner or hobbyist to the advanced welder seeking certification. With a combination of hands on experience and classroom theory.

AWS

AWS Entry Level Welder (Level 1)

 The objective of the Entry Level Welder program is to provide students with the knowledge, attitude, skills, and habits required to gain employment in the welding and metal fabricating industry as an AWS certified welder.

Partial Completion

Level 1-Entry Welder has been modularized to allow exit points for partial completion of the recommended guidelines. The modular structure of the guidelines allows Welding 101 to issue certificates of completion listing each module completed.

Full Completion

AWS will issue a certificate for trainees who have successfully completed all 9 modules of the Entry Welder guidelines. Who have demonstrated the following:

  • Passing score on the written safety examination (90%)
  • Passing score on the general knowledge written examination (75%)
  • SMAW Certification

The Record of Successful Completion will be submitted to AWS for each student that successfully completes the 9 modules. Full completion of Level 1 will list the students in the AWS SENSE National Registry.

Hobby Classes

GMAW Gas Metal Arc Welding 20 hours

FCAW Flux core Arc Welding 20 Hours

SMAW Shielded Metal Arc Welding 20 Hours

GTAW Gas Tungsten Arc Welding 20 Hours

OAW/OFC Oxyacetylene Welding/Cutting 20 Hours

Hobby classes run Monday thru Thursday for two weeks at a cost of $300.00 per class. New classes start every two weeks.

  • welding jacket with leather sleeves
  • welding gloves
  • safety glasses
  • welding helmet
  • welders cap

*leather shoes are required steel toes optional no tennis shoes*

Customized Training

At Welding 101 we work with individual companies with raining geared to their own specifications and qualifications needed for the job. We will work to meet the desired schedule for your convenience in most weld procedures. Our AWS CAWI/CWE will train, test, and certify at your facility or ours which ever is convenient for you.
